Essentially it’s all about staying healthy mentally. Because mental health is not just about health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Instead it is about wellness. Body, mind and spirit.
Do you find it hard to get excited about life?
Are you irritable, struggling to escape negative thoughts, or overwhelmed by persistent sadness?
You’re not alone. These are all symptoms of low mood, and are shared by millions of people globally. Often unrecognized, low mood is an emotional state that while milder than depression, can negatively affect every aspect of your life.
It has reached epidemic levels in our society, and the way we think, view, and react to life, is only making things worse.
The good news is, it can be beaten!
Choosing Happy explores the science behind your sadness. It teaches you to find and enjoy the little things, that make life the crazy, amazing, mess it is, and includes the facts, hacks, and action steps you need to defeat low mood, and instil happiness into your life.
Low mood is not a part of who you are, and it’s not something you have to live with forever.
You CAN live an outrageously happy life. You just need to know how.
Mental health is a subject that is personal for me because I’ve struggled with depression, just as many of you have. But a huge amount of the books I read while researching my own issues, were convoluted, written from a psychiatrists perspective, or simply told a personal story. Most didn’t show you how to fight depression, or did so in a confusing (and often very boring) way.
Choosing Happy is part of a 3-book series to help those struggling with the symptoms of Depression and Low Mood. And they’re good! In fact, despite my international bestseller status I think these books are my best yet.
- Finding Happy- A fact based look at depression- It’s causes, symptoms, and how you can manage them.
- Choosing Happy- A collection of life hacks people can use to overcome low mood- milder than depression but still not fun. (And no, I don’t just tell you to choose happy. It’s a tongue in cheek title people)!
- Holding Happy- A guide to help those who are supporting or encouraging others in their mental health battle.
If you, or someone you know need help in any of these areas, then these are the books for you!
